One hardly needs an introduction to the vast world of Pokemon.
Spanning multiple platforms including Television, Books, Video
Games, and Comics, it seems that Pokemon is everywhere these
days. It is common knowledge that the television series aired
on American TV is edited, the same cannot be said for the comic.
When Viz, the company translating the comic from Japanese
to English, first released the Manga (Comic) by Toshihiro Ono,
they released it in 32-page comic books, the traditianal way
comics are released in America. This release was unedited at
first. However, after parental complaints, Viz started to censor
the comic. They could have restored the images for the Graphic
Novel release, but Viz choose not to pursue this path.
That is what this page is about. The purpose of this page
is to show people who were not aware that this series was edited
know the differences between the version of the comic that they
own, and the version of the comic that was originally intended
to be seen.
